Wet Lunches

Sometimes we have to stay inside and play at lunchtime because it's raining and we want to keep dry.  Lots of people in Room 8 don't mind staying inside because there are lots of fun activities that we only have out on wet days.
Some of the favourite things to do are;

Computer games
Lego
Dress-ups
Connect Four
Board games
Mancala
Wooden blocks
Drawing
Reading
Plastic toy animals
Mouse-trap

Cross Country, August 2012

These are photos from the Hamilton East School cross country race. Miss Langdon was very impressed with how much effort EVERYONE made when they were running. All the children chose a personal goal like trying to run up the hill, not coming last, or trying to get into the top six. We have seven people in Room 8 who are going to represent Hamilton East School at the Inter-schools cross country race in week 8 - Oliver, Blake, Hannah, Elizabeth, Bradley, Luciana, and Rebecca. Good luck to all of them!!

$ $ $

Brody came to talk to our class about how to save money.

We learnt about saving to buy a car.  The person who saved the longest with their money in the bank got the coolest car.

Three willing helpers.

Speed to your needs and wait for your wants.

Spend some on you but save some too.
