Drum Set - Dylan is super awesome!

The drums were loud but it was ok because we were having lots of fun. When we were dancing we had to copy Dylan. The teachers were dancing. Miss Dee was shaking her head. It looked silly. He had drum sticks in his hand. It was cool and funky.

Today we have been learning about zero. We counted from ten down to zero and blasted off like rockets! We watched a Sesame Street podcast about the number zero. It was funny when Cookie Monster ate the number zero. Miss Dee asked us funny questions and every time the answer was zero!

I am a rocket down on the ground, waiting quietly without a sound.
Light the fuse on my toe.
Ready for take off....

Saying Haere Ra to Mohamed

Today is Mohamed's last day in Room 8. He is going to  live in Australia where his dad works.
We will  miss you Mohamed but we  hope that you  have fun in Australia. Don't forget your gorgeous orange sunglasses to keep the sun out of your eyes in Australia!

Dirty Bertie

In Room 8 we love sharing stories.

Today we read Dirty Bertie. He picked a bogey. He ate a dirty lollypop. The bogey was squidgy. The bogey was scrunchy. The bogey was sticky.

We liked the story. It was funny.

Yummy yogurt!

Yesterday we ate yoghurt. It looked sticky. It looked nice and smooth. We put it into a bowl. It smelled like strawberries. It was cold. It was in the fridge. It was red and a little bit pink like a strawberry. These are pictures of us pretending to eat yoghurt!

Our beautiful cloak room

Wow! Look at our gorgeous cloak room. We talked about how keeping our bags tidy was important so that people didn't slip or trip on their way into Room 8. We are so proud about how beautiful it looks.

Super special strawberry yoghurt!

In Room 8 we have been learning HEAPS about farm animals and the amazing things they do. This week we have learned about cows. Did you know they have FOUR stomachs? Did you know that they give us milk? Did you know that the milk comes from their udders?

We watched a video about how the farmer squeezes the milk from the cows udders. We wrote stories about crazy cows who make banana milkshake.

Today we talked about what we use milk for. Did you know that milk is used to make yoghurt? Even though we usually save yoghurt for eating at home we decided to make a treat. We helped Miss Dee to make strawberry yoghurt! Maybe we'll get to taste it tomorrow?
