Rainy break times

If it it is too rainy to go outside at break time we entertain ourselves in the classroom. There are lots of games to play and we make up our own games too.

Swimming!

We swam everyday for the first 6 weeks of term. We worked hard to improve our gliding, kicking and freestyle and we started to work on our breathing skills.

We are now looking forward to showing what we have learnt at our swimming sports on Wednesday 25th March.

Making newspaper hats!

At the beginning of term we tried making hats out of newspaper. This was to help us get to know each other and learn how to work together constructively. Here are a few of our creations!

Basic facts math practice

We have been practising our basic facts to help us improve in maths. Everyone now has a login for the xtramath website.

Kidblogs

We have made our own kidblogs. We each have our own blog and the link is on the right hand side under 'Room 8 writing blogs'. Parents and whanau please have a look with your child and see what we are writing about.

We write as often as we can, sometimes we are writing with no planning or editing, sometimes we write after we have planned, edited and extended our ideas.
