Cross Country Training

Room 8 have been training hard for the upcoming cross-country race.  We do a fitness session with Les Mills instructors on Monday, run laps around the field and up the hills at school and play running games on the other days of the week.  Some of the students in Room 8 are even more committed to training and have been doing laps during their lunch break.  

Here we are playing a game where we had to find the order of the colours on the master sheet.  It was hot work!

Our Buddy Class - Room 16

Our buddy class visits us sometimes.  They have been to see Smittens the rat who visited our class in Term 1.  A group of readers from Room 16 come to our class every day to share their reading.  They have a regular reading buddy from our class who helps them read by listening and helping them sound out their words.  We encourage them by giving them positive feedback.  We also ask them questions about their stories and have little conversations too

How Toys Work

Room 8 went to the museum to explore how toys work.  Here is Ray showing us lots of fabulous toys and how they move.  He had even cut holes in some toys so we could see right inside them.
